The artist's oil paintings are extremely rare on the art market. The sketch above is a study for the artist's first major historical composition. Rodakowski, after much study, made it especially for the World Exhibition of 1855. Unfortunately, the painting was rejected by the jury. Nowadays we know it only from press descriptions of the time, as the artist soon destroyed it. Only studies remain...
