Jakub Michał Kasprowicz (Zubrza near Lviv July 18, 1905 - Komorów near Warsaw April 2, 1975) - painter. He was born into a landowning family in the estate of Zubrza near Lviv. As a free student, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. After the war he settled in Komorów near Warsaw. His works are in collections in Austria, the Netherlands and the United States. In his work, he was inspired by the paintings of Munich painters. He painted seascapes, horses, harnesses, genre scenes, still lifes, oriental motifs and portraits. He is often confused with Jan Maksymilian Kasprowicz (1906-1986).
