Painter, student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of Axentowicz and Kamocki (1920-1925). After his studies, he traveled to Italy and France. From 1937-1939 he lived in Katowice. Arrested in 1944, he was sent to Auschwitz, then to Mauthausen and Melk, where he was murdered. He exhibited his works at the Zachęta Gallery in Warsaw, the TPSP in Cracow, and the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. He most often took up portrait subjects, and is known for his atmospheric seascapes, views of the Tatra Mountains and still lifes.
