Jozef Jaroszynski studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Later he settled in Delatyn on the Pruth River. Beginning in 1880 he went to Munich every year, and spent the last years of his life there. He painted in oil and watercolor and was also involved in lithography. He painted landscapes and studies of horses, numerous hunts, paintings of Hutsul, Ukrainian and Podhale village life, compositions based on literary motifs and historical scenes. He exhibited at the TPSP in Cracow, the TZSP in Warsaw, Lviv, the Krywult Salon in Warsaw, as well as in Vienna and Munich. Jozef Jaroszynski's paintings are in the collections of museums in Krakow, Leszno, Poznan, St. Petersburg and Lviv, among others.
