Polish artist, painter. He studied art at the Warsaw Drawing School under Ksawery Dunikowski and Eligiusz Niewiadomski. From 1908, he studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts in the painting classes of professors Jozef Mehoffer, Pankiewicz and Axentowicz, who exerted a strong influence on Szczęsny, as seen in the painting above. He graduated from the Krakow school in 1913. Szczęsny had his painting studio, where he lived with his wife Michalina, at 19 Floriańska St. He took part in Polish and international painting exhibitions, winning prizes and awards. The year 1939 interrupted Szczęsny's creative period. He and his wife were evicted from Cracow. He was buried at the Rakowicki Cemetery in Cracow.
