From 1917 to 1922, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow with Jozef Mehoffer, who considered him his most talented student. At the same time, he studied art history at Jagiellonian University. After receiving a scholarship from the French government, he studied for a year with M. Denis at the Académie Ranson in Paris, including G. L. Jaunes, J Zingg and M. Denis. After returning to Poland, he joined the Association of Artists "Zwornik". He exhibited at TPSP in Krakow, Lviv and Poznan, at Zachęta and IPS in Warsaw. In addition, he took part in exhibitions of the "Sztuka" (from 1924), "Jednoróg" and "Zwornik" groups. He painted landscapes, architectural views, portraits, still lifes, less frequently genre scenes.
