Biography
Studied at the Warsaw School of Drawing under Wojciech Gerson and Antoni Kaminski and at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. He traveled extensively, including: to Vienna, Munich, Paris, Florence, Rome, Naples, Venice, Bavaria and Switzerland. He painted primarily portraits of Eliza Orzeszkowa, Irena Solska, Mieczysława Ćwiklińska, Henryk Sienkiewicz, Bolesław Prus, Stefan Żeromski, among others. He also created landscapes and religious compositions.
