Biography
He began his artistic education at the Institute of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1927-1928). He then studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under Felicjan Kowarski and Tadeusz Pruszkowski (1928-1932). He mainly painted easel paintings - oriental genre scenes, portraits and images of fishermen. He was also involved in stage design: in 1934-1935 he worked with the Variety Theater. He worked for the "Atlas" publishing house in Lviv, and also contributed illustrations to "Kurier Poranny". He is the author of portraits of Ignacy Moscicki or Edward Rydz-Smigly. He exhibited at home (1938, Polish Regional Types, Art Salon, Warsaw; 1947, Exhibition of the Group of Independent Artists) and abroad (solo exhibition at G. Tomalski Gallery in New York, 1964). His works are in the collection of the Museum of the Polish Army, among others.
