Between 1917 and 1927 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Jozef Mehoffer, Ignacy Pienkowski, Wojciech Weiss and Jozef Pankiewicz. From 1926 he was a member of the Paris branch of the Academy of Fine Arts and participated in an exhibition of Pankiewicz's students in Paris. After returning to Poland, he settled in Torun. Since the 1930s, he belonged to the local Artists' Confraternity. He took part in the September campaign in 1939, where he was killed during an air raid. He was involved in landscape and portrait painting, created still lifes, and designed stained glass windows.
