Biography
Studied in 1873- 79 at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow. He supplemented his artistic studies at the Vienna Academy under K. Wurzinger (1880- 81) and at the Munich Academy under W. Lindenschmit (1883- 85). In 1891, together with T. Popiel, he traveled to Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen and Munich. In 1885 he settled permanently in Lviv. At the beginning of his career he painted portraits, and from 1890 he painted mainly landscapes.
