Painter. Brother of painters Maurycy, Leopold and Philip Gottlieb. In 1881-1883 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow. During his student days he was praised for his drawings of antique sculptures. He painted scenes from the life of Jewish communities ("Pogrom, "Wall of Weeping) and compositions depicting scenes inspired by Polish literature ("Kochanowski over the body of Urszulka). He also copied the canvases of his brother, Maurycy Gottlieb. In 1900 he exhibited the painting "Jews praying on Judgment Day at the Metropol Hotel in Lviv.
