Mieczysław FILIPKIEWICZ (1891-1951), "Winter Tatra Landscape".

Painter associated with the Kraków art community, brother of Stefan. He studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under S. Dębicki, J. Pankiewicz and T. Axentowicz (1910-15 ), and under W. Weiss (1921-23 ). He completed his studies in Vienna. He exhibited mainly at the TPSP in Cracow. The subjects of his works were usually seascapes and Tatra landscapes, he painted still lifes, less often figural motifs.
