Studiował w Państwowej Szkole Sztuk Zdobniczych w Poznaniu u K. Z. Maszkowskiego oraz w ASP w Krakowie u W. Jarockiego, T. Axentowicza i J. Mehoffera. W 1936r. zamieszkał w Warszawie. Należał do grupy Pro Arte. Malował obrazy batalistyczne, pejzaże, polowania, małomiasteczkowe scenki, kuligi. W jego obrazach na pierwszy plan często wychodził się motyw konia.
