Biography
Graduated from the Cracow School of Fine Arts, where he stayed from 1888-1890. He continued his artistic studies in Vienna and Munich, where he was associated with the studio of Anton Ažbe. He finished his studies in the Bavarian capital in 1896, but returned there many more times in the following years. He exhibited from 1891; he presented his works at the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts and the Cracow and Lviv Society for the Friends of Fine Arts. He painted atmospheric landscapes and marine-themed paintings; views from southern Italy (including Capri) were a frequent motif in his works.
