Stanislaw Gibinski (Rzeszow 1882 - Katowice 1971) worked on the railroad from his early youth, first in Rzeszow, then in Cracow, where he was simultaneously able to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, probably as a free student. During World War I, he served in the Second Brigade of the Legions, commanded by J. Haller, and fought a campaign in the Carpathian Mountains, fighting at Rafajlova, Molodeczne, Pantry Pass. After the war, he continued to work on the railroad, combining his professional work with his artwork. He was a watercolor painter; he painted landscapes, rural genre scenes, fishermen or hunting, which he usually depicted in snowy winter landscapes. He himself often participated in hunting and was very familiar with this subject. He also painted moors, floodplains and autumn landscapes. His paintings are clearly inspired by the art of Fałat, but also by Wyczółkowski and painters of the Cracow school of landscape. The artist repeatedly participated in the exhibitions of the Cracow TPSP, and after 1926 also in the exhibitions of the "Independents". He also exhibited in other cities, and his art enjoyed considerable success
