Biography
Studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow under Leopold Löffler. He continued his painting studies at the Munich academy in 1890-93 under Otto Seitz and in Ažbe's studio. He also studied in Vienna and at the art school in Breslau in 1893-96. He lived permanently in Warsaw, where he exhibited at TPSP and with the Pro Arte art grouping. In 1921 he became a professor at the newly established Wojciech Gerson School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He was also an illustrator; he collaborated with Tygodnik Ilustrowany. He painted genre scenes, views of architecture, nudes and portraits.
