Biography
He studied at the Warsaw Drawing Class in 1897-99 with W. Gerson, as well as at the academy in Munich in 1901-03 with K. Marr and A. Ažbé and at the Académie Colarossi in Paris. He traveled extensively: he was in Russia (1898), Italy (1901), France (1904-12). He lived in Plock, Russia (during World War I), and later in Warsaw. Contemporary critics counted him among the school of W. Slevinsky and pointed to the French impressionist pedigree of his art. Since 1922 Żaboklicki was a member of the Circle of Polish Mariners, operating at the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. He painted landscapes, mostly in pastels, also marine paintings and flowers.
