Son of Stanislaw and Honorata, née Smolkień. In 1909-1910 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Leon Wyczółkowski; he also studied at the Jagiellonian University. He exhibited at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1911-1914 (Study, In Escape, At the Fair, Horse Trader). In 1912-1914, his works were reproduced in magazines, including Fairy Tale, Artist's Dream, Saddened. In the interwar period he lived in Cracow. Since 1933 he was a member of ZZPAP. He exhibited in Cracow at the House of the Artist in 1921, at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in 1926, at the ZZPAP premises in 1928 and 1939. There are two paintings (oils, signed) depicting Hutsul women in the National Museum in Cracow; in the National Museum in Warsaw - Zaprzęg (Harness), 1922, oil, signed, and Sanie na polnej drodze (Sledge on a dirt road), 1931, oil, signed; in private collections in Warsaw - Bryczka in front of a manor house and Wieśniak with horses (oils, signed).
