Biography
Henryk Hermanowicz is one of the most outstanding students of Jan Bulhak. He was born in Vilnius. He made his debut at the 5th International Salon of Artistic Photography in 1931. His works were reproduced by Polish and foreign photographic magazines. From 1937 he worked in Krzemieniec in a photographic studio run by Stanislav Sheybal. There he published a booklet entitled "Beautiful hometown of Juliusz Słowacki".
In 1945 he settled permanently in Cracow, where he created one of the most beautiful photographic portraits of that city, entitled "Cracow - Four Seasons," which shows the mastery of a landscape artist and the curiosity of a photojournalist.
