Biography
Studied at the Department of Photography and at the Department of Cinematography of PWSTFiTV in Lodz. Growing up and later studying in Lodz, the artist got acquainted with the environment associated with the Film Form Workshop and the Eastern Gallery. It is in these circles that one can find the sources of Omulecki's photographic experiments. His photographs are a record of contemporary life in Poland, and sometimes a reminiscence of the communist era. The artist explores existential themes. Recently, in addition to photographs, he creates video works and computer animations. He lives and works in Warsaw. He teaches at the Szczecin Academy of Art and the Warsaw Academy of Photography. In 2017, he participated in the exhibition "Late Polishness" at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. His solo exhibitions took place at Warsaw's Le Guern Gallery and Królikarnia, as well as at the Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv as part of the Video Biennale ideo Biennale. In 2012, Omulecki received a Scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
