Biography
Artist-photographer, lived and worked in Warsaw. Member of the Association of Polish Artists Photographers since 1966. For more than 30 years he dealt with portrait and female nude. He was an undisputed pioneer of erotic photography in Poland. His exhibitions in the 1970s, including the first of them, the famous exhibition titled Monika (1974), as well as an erotic calendar published in 1983 in an edition of 200,000 pieces, resonated with the public and caused significant changes in Poland's approach to nude photography, and became the subject of media interest worldwide, resulting in the publication of the album Friends of Sophia in 1985 by the American publisher Melrose Square Publishing. In 1999, the artist's book Nude Photography, a guide to the world of erotic photography, was published. He has participated in many exhibitions, including World Press Photo in The Hague (1966), APA International Exhibition of Photography in Tokyo (1978). In 1984 there was a solo exhibition at Canon Photo Gallery in Amsterdam.
