Dating from the 1950s, the photographs are prints from original negatives by Zdzislaw Beksinski. It was a period when the artist was interested in photography, looking for his own style, gaining experience and workshop, which, as it turned out later, he used in his painting. He photographed people, places, not infrequently he was a model himself. In the photos one can also notice the staging of scenes, an expression of the artist's longing for directing, which he failed to study.
