Biography
Creator of avant-garde films and photographs, performer, painter, realizer of experimental works with sound and computer-developed images. From 1969-1974 studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where he received a diploma in painting in the studio of Associate Professor Alfons Mazurkiewicz and television broadcasting in the studio of Professor Leszek Kućma. In 1972-74 he was a member of the Current Art Gallery group. In 1975 Sosnowski moved to Warsaw, where, together with Janusz Haka and Jacek Drabik, he took over the artistic management of the Contemporary Gallery, closed by the political authorities in 1977. In the same year he married Teresa Tyszkiewicz, with whom he made several films together in the following years. From 1978 to 1981 Sosnowski ran the Studio Gallery, and in 1980 he co-founded the Association of Film Makers "Remont" (1980). In 1982 he moved to France, where he currently lives.
