Born in 1936 in Mszana Dolna, from 1951 she studied at the High School of Fine Arts in Cracow, and in 1953-59 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (sculpture with X. Dunikowski, painting with J. Świderski, E. Krcha and A Marczyński, graduating with honors from the Faculty of Graphic Arts: in the Department of Woodcut with L. Gardowski and in the Department of Book Graphics with W. Chomicz). Collector of native graphics and promoter of Polish culture abroad (decorated with her husband, Vanni Scheiwiller, by the Association of European Culture). Since 1980 she has lived in Italy, in Milan and Otranto. She is associated with the publisher of a bibliophile publishing house and is actively involved in its activities; she illustrates poetry and contributes to artbooks. Her color woodcuts are characterized by subtle fading of color and sublime lighting effects. In addition to printmaking, she explores multiple media and techniques. She creates stained-glass reliefs, detached from their architectural context, in which multicolored glass tiles of varying thicknesses are pasted onto the sheet rather than joined by lead. Travels to China in 1988 and 1989 resulted in a fascination with the calligraphy and seals there. She paints watercolors and creates tapestries. An active participant in artistic life.
