Studied in 1932-1934 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Prof. Fryderyk Pautsch and Kazimierz Sichulski. In 1936, he traveled to France. In 1936-1939 he cooperated as a graphic designer with the magazines "Express", "Kurier Czerwony", "Płomyk". During the war he was imprisoned in the oflag Woldenberg, and developed there a lively artistic activity in many fields, such as painting, interior decoration, scenography, as well as graphic design, illustration, ex-libris, etc. After the war, the artist settled in Lower Silesia, where, among other things, he taught drawing and printmaking at the Visual Arts Center in Jelenia Góra. At the same time, from 1949, he worked as head of the Design Department of the Bureau for the Supervision of Production Aesthetics and in other institutions related to industrial design. During this period, he also took up designing in the field of ceramics and glass. He was also involved in exhibitions. The list of his occupations and interests is completed by medallion-making.
