Wojciech Gorączniak - born 1976 in Poznań. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (now the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts). He received his diploma in painting in 2001. Since 2008, he has been working at his alma mater, currently as a professor at UAP. In 2016-18 he was head of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing. Since 2016, he has been leading the 8th Studio of Painting. He works in painting and drawing. He is the author of solo exhibitions and participant in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. As a curator of exhibitions, he has collaborated with the Gallery of the University Library of Adam Mickiewicz University, and the Piekary Gallery in Poznan. He has shown his works at the Arsenal City Gallery in Poznan, the Municipal Art Center in Gorzow Wlkp., Gallery Opposite in Poznan, Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin, Contemporary Art Museum Ise in Japan, among others.
