The sketch was created in 1920 in Luslawice - a village located in a
hilly area on the right bank of the Dunajec River. In Luslawice there was a
at the time there was a magnificent manor house, in which the Malczewski family was interested.
The artist probably visited Luslawice only from around 1919,
initially spending there only in the summer months, and over time
remain there for longer periods, lasting from spring through autumn.
The work is described and signed above the composition: "May 7 Luslawice 1920 JMalczewski" (original signature,
author's signature).
Condition of preservation: very good.
Picture framed in convex gold-colored frame with beige passe partout with
gilded inner edge.
