Sketch (pencil on paper) 9.7 x 16 cm. Size with frame: 36 x 42 cm. The work comes from the artist's sketchbook of 132 pages. The sketchbook dates from the period of Jacek Malczewski's education at St. Jacek's Gymnasium in Cracow (1871 - 1873), where he was listed as a painter in the student book as his vocation. The drawing is numbered 34. The sketch is framed in a double passe-partout with slip finish, a simple wooden frame and museum glass.
