Jacek Waltoś (born 1938) is a painter, sculptor, graphic artist, writer, art critic and theoretician. Since 1966 he has been associated with the Cracow group WPROST, which, while remaining with formally figurative means of imagery, metaphorically refers to the immediate problems of contemporary life. Waltos is interested in the metaphorical representation of emotional states, and the offered graphics are an exemplification of the author's interests and his extraordinary erudition.
