provenance: private collection, Warsaw Jacek Yerka (owner: Jacek Kowalski, 1952, Toruń) is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (specialization in artistic printmaking). In his printmaking, he modeled his work on the great master Albrecht Dürer and in painting he imitated the perfectionism of other great painters of the North - Jan van Eyck and Hieronymus Bosch. He always followed his path as a painter, disregarding the criticism of his professors and those around him. The amazing world to which the artist invites us is most often, as he himself writes , a flashback to his dreamy visions and, perhaps most importantly, "a souvenir from childhood - places, remembered feelings, smells and technique from the 1950s." Jacek Yerka has done projects for films or fantasy books. He has ardent fans all over the world. His paintings and drawings are in numerous private collections in Poland and abroad.
