Biography
Cartoonist, comics author, video artist, animation creator, painter. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He obtained his diploma in Stanislaw Kortyka's studio in 1995. Janek Koza is an artistic pseudonym (sometimes he signed his works as MA Jan Koza). He was associated with the Entropia gallery. Koza's paintings have been shown at numerous exhibitions, including the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, the Museum of Art in Lodz and the National Museum in Poznan. The artist is the author of more than a hundred short animated films, which have been shown at many national and international reviews, including: WRO in Wroclaw, Art Museum in Lodz, National Museum in Poznan, Animamundi in Brazil, Image Forum in Tokyo. Comics were published by "Aktivist", "Arena Komiks", "Przekrój" and "Machina", among others. Janek Koza is a regular cartoonist for "Polityka".
