Jozef MEHOFFER (1869-1946) - [graphic, ca. 1903] [W owczej skórze]; Lvov [ca. 1903]/Bookstore of H. Altenberg/color lithography, dimensions 38.5 x 28 cm.
Graphic commissioned by H. Altenberg as the cover of the album "Polish Art. Painting. Sixty-five reproductions of works by the most outstanding representatives of Polish painting". The work signed on the stone: "JÓZEF MEHOFFER | 1903" (l.d.).
Jozef Mehoffer (1869-1946) painter, graphic artist, decorator, stage designer, educator; next to Stanislaw Wyspianski, the greatest Polish creator of stained glass and polychrome. A student of Jan Matejko and the Paris universities - Ecolé des Beaux-Arts, Académie Colarossi.
