K. (Konstanty?) Pankiewicz, as we can tell from this skilfully painted landscape scene, was an educated artist. Unfortunately, we know nothing about him, and so far he was known only as the author of the woodcut "U literata , scenki wg rys. Franciszka Kostrzewskiego" published in Tygodnik Ilustrowanym in 1868 (1st half, p.262).
