LukaszOwczarek was born in 1983. An autodidact, fascinated by artists such as Zdzislaw Beksinski, Jasques-louis David, Mikhail A. Wrubel and H. R. Giger.
He has been practicing surrealist painting since 2006. Forms resulting from expression evolve into sophisticated, arranged, seemingly static, thoughtful paintings.
In his paintings, the author invites us on a journey in which we discover the meanings of the various elements of the work ourselves. Usually the title is not imposed top-down, which is meant to make us reflect and enter into a dialogue with the Work. As the first success can be considered joining the surrealist collective Beinart in 2011, the collective unfortunately did not survive. The artist's paintings quickly found their way into private collections around the world, which paradoxically prevented the creation of a larger authorial exhibition for quite some time. The first official exhibition was held in 2019 at Maya Gallery in Torun.
