Painter; in 1932-35 studied at the State School of Decorative Arts and Artistic Industry; in 1938 began studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, interrupted during the war; in 1941-43 studied at the so-called Kunstgewerbeschule; in 1945 returned to the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (studied in the studio of Prof. J. Fedkowicz; his oeuvre included easel, monumental secular and religious painting, drawing, printmaking; at first he painted realistic paintings, then in the spirit of social realism and finally in his own individual style expressed in texture, synthesis of figures and objects, abstraction, including geometric.
