Kazimierz Wiszniewski (1894-1960) - Polish painter and graphic artist, a student of Skoczylas, under whose influence the artist's early work was shaped, drawing inspiration from folk art and ornamentation. In 1932, he settled in Węgrów with his brother Aleksander Wiszniewski, the district governor. Here, for nine years, enraptured by the beauty of the architecture of Węgrów's monuments and the beauty of the surrounding nature, he created masterpieces of graphic art - woodcuts and watercolor paintings. This deaf graphic artist, wood engraver and painter creates his masterpieces in Węgrów between 1932 and 1941.
