JACEK YERKA Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of
Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun in 1976.From birth he was in contact with art, because
both his parents were artists. He spent his entire childhood and school years on
drawing and sculpting. In his early years, he was mainly involved in printmaking
workshop and poster art (for which he was repeatedly awarded in international
art competitions). Since 1980, he has devoted himself exclusively to painting. His art
is an unusual combination of surrealism and the meticulous technique of the old masters of
Dutch painting. The fantastic visions he paints are admired and recognized
recognized around the world (he has exhibited his works in, among others, the United States,
Germany, France).
