Zdzislaw LACHUR

Studied at the academy in Cracow at the Faculties of Painting and Graphics. He practiced wall painting, easel painting, printmaking and drawing. He developed his own style of painting, based on an innovative technique, the so-called "old icon". He was the founder and manager of the Studio of Drawing Forms in Bielsko-Biała. Since 1953, he was a member of ZPAP. In recognition of his painting work, he was awarded the Minister of Culture and Art's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1961. His paintings are in museum and private collections at home and abroad.
