Biography
Studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Sopot and at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She is the author of numerous sculptures, including Prometheus of the Ghetto, Banners, Hymn Warszawianka, Two Rivers, Chopin Competition. She also made several grave monuments at the Powązki Cemetery. She is the author of the bust of Ignacy Domeyka located at the University of Warsaw (cast in the Universidad de Chile) and the medallion and plaque commemorating Ernest Malinowski in Lima. In 1980 she was awarded the Distinguished Cultural Service badge.
Allegorical sculptures by Teresa Brzóskiewicz can be found in the public space of Warsaw, among other places. On Marszalkowska Street, there is the Vistula and the Volga. On the other hand, Spring is located among the residential blocks on International Street. The latter sculpture was part of a broader program to humanize urban space carried out in the 1970s in the so-called Young Estates.
