Andrzej Renes (Grodek 1958, lives in Warsaw) studied at the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating in 1984 in the studio of Prof. Stanislaw Slonina. With a scholarship from the Belgian government in 1985-86, he continued his studies at the Academie Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels. He is the author of monuments and realizations in public space, such as the monument to Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski in Warsaw (1986), the monument to Stefan Starzynski in Warsaw (1993), the monument to Wladyslaw Grabski in Lowicz (1994), the doors of the Polish Army Field Cathedral in Warsaw (1994), bust of Kornel Makuszynski in Zakopane (1995), monument to Father Piotr Skarga in Grójec (1996), monument to Michał Kleofas Oginski in Guzów (1998), bust of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski in Lazienki Park (2002), monument to Frederic Chopin in Albania's capital Tirana (2003), a monument to Father Ignacy Skorupka in Warsaw (2005), a monument to the Prague Backyard Band in Warsaw (2006), a monument to "Wiktor" in front of the TVP building in Warsaw (2007, a monument to the victims of the Smolensk catastrophe in St. Mary's Basilica in Gdansk (2010), a statue of Christ "Jesus I trust in you" in Oliwa Cathedral (2010), memorial plaque in honor of Lech Kaczynski on the wall of the Warsaw Uprising Museum in Warsaw (2011), a monument to Melchior Wańkowicz in Pisz (2011), a monument to Lech and Maria Kaczynski in Radom (2013), a monument to Danuta Siedzikowna "inka" in Gdansk (2015). In addition, he is the author of statuettes, including "Wiktor" (TVP award for personality of the year), "Kisiel" (Wprost weekly award), "Czempion" (Sports Review award). He is the creator, organizer and president of the RenesArt Foundation, which aims to promote cultural, artistic and scientific activities. In addition to his artistic work, he is involved in social activities for disabled children
