She created her own clothing company, which she ran with her sisters until 1981, after which she moved to Bonn, Germany. From her earliest years, she painted, clayed, and created decorations for family theaters based on original scripts. She was also involved in costume design.
Today Brigid Bocian creates unique works, sculpts and paints, creates original installations from wire, paper and household objects. She rarely presents her works in exhibitions, but her work is valued by collectors, especially her original installations, which, due to their openwork nature, are both a work of art and a kind of decoration, fitting into the space without restricting it in the way traditional art does.Brigid Bocian's works can be presented on large glass planes and make use of externallight, makingthe image alive and changing constantly depending on what is happening outside the window.
