Busola from the tugboat "Ares"
A few years ago Tomasz Oldziejewski and Artur Szyngwelski obtained pieces of equipment from the tugboat "Ares", which was cut for scrap in 2020. The ship was built in 1974 in Gdynia, and its home port was Gdansk. It belonged to a series of ten H2500 tugboats. Some of them are still in service.
The all time working compass was framed in patinated brass, black oak and amber so that it could continue to please the eye of seasoned sea wolves.
The whole thing weighs almost 35kg.
Dimensions: height 38cm, width 45cm and depth 45cm
More items from "Ares" are in development, including another compass.
