He is inspired by coincidence, intriguing shapes that abound in nature, stains on various surfaces, spilled water. The images in the cracked concrete or asphalt, with their multiplicity of lines, give material from which, as from a jigsaw puzzle, one can arrange/select any shape. Is it really in this grid of cracks or only in the mind of the beholder?
He doesn't want to be a sculptor of one style, because the world of astonishing coincidences keeps suggesting new combinations of shapes.
