Kirke - in Greek mythology, the daughter of Helios and the nymph Perseis. A fortune teller and sorceress, one of the characters appearing in the Odyssey. She lived on the island of Ajai. She held Odysseus, who was returning from under Troy, for a year, having turned his companions into pigs. She bore him a son, Telegonos.
