The Kaiser shipyard in Danzig, or Kaiserliche Werft Danzig, was one of the first modern shipyards established to produce warships in Germany. The government of the Kingdom of Prussia bought land on both banks of the Dead Vistula River in 1844, where the Amazone ship of the Imperial Fleet was to be stationed. After the end of World War I, the shipyard changed its name to Danziger Werft (Danzig Shipyard).
