Biography
Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts from 1952 to 1958, and has been teaching sculpture at the Academy since 1958. From 1973-1976 he was its pro-rector, and from 1983-86 dean. He has held a doctorate since 1964 and has been a full professor since 1987. Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Since 2006, member of the Program Council of the Foundation Center for National Creativity. Specializes in monumental, sacred, studio and chamber sculpture.
