About the Author
Creates figurative sculpture in wood. His sculptures are in the collections of: National Museum in Cracow, Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko, District Museum in Bielsko-Biała, Museum of Contemporary Sacred Art in Kielce, Contemporary Art Collection of the City of Lucerne (Switzerland), Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin, City of Wroclaw - Brick Bastion, Collection of "POGRANICZE" Foundation in Sejny, private collections in Poland, Canada, Germany, UK, and Italy. He lives and creates in Cieszyn. Graduate of the Antoni Kenar State High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. In 1984 he graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the studio of Professor Stanislaw Kulon, He received an honorable mention for his diploma work "Placing in the grave". In 1982, while still a student, together with Andrzej Szarek and Czesław Podlesny, he founded the art group...who are you. He participated in the group's exhibitions until 1990. Since 1986, he has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 2000, he received the title of Professor of Visual Arts. Multiple scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Culture and Art in the years: 1985, 1987, 1991, 1999 and 2004.
