Lot description
Brąz, wys. 31 cm,
sygn.: "564 J. Cavalier"; "Reduction Mecanique A. Collas Brevete". Oryginał rzeźby autorstwa Julesa Cavaliera (1814-1894) znajduje się w Musée d'Orsay w Paryżu. Odniosła ona ogromny sukces w tracie Salonu w roku 1849, gdzie otrzymała medal pierwszej klasy oraz medal honorowy.

Jules CAVALIER (1814-1894)
Francuski rzeźbiarz. Uczeń rzeźbiarza Davida d'Angersa i malarza Paula Delaroche. Wygrał w 1842 roku Prix de Rome. Od 1864 roku wykładał na École des Beaux-Arts.
