In 1961 he graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1951 to 1954, he studied theology and philosophy at the Podlasie Theological Seminary in Siedlce. Wanting to remain an independent artist, he emigrated from Poland to Canada in 1971. He became a tireless ambassador of Polish culture in North America He created mainly in stainless steel. It was used to create, among others, portraits of 18 Great Poles, prime ministers of Canada and Poles living in Canada, 17 portraits of Nicolaus Copernicus. He presented the works at many exhibitions. The place of permanent residence of the artist became Orchard Lake. Here he founded and for the next thirty-seven years ran the Polish Gallery, which in time became one of the richest permanent exhibitions of Polish art abroad.
