Sculpture by Roland Kościółek made in glazed ceramic. The main subject of interest to the author is a human being, as well as a portrait. Elements of surrealism and figurativism are characteristic of this work. Through his choice of pose, facial expression, gesture or body expression, the artist communicates various emotions, stories or themes.
Roland Kościółek was born in 1988 in Rzeszow, Poland. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (2019) and the Faculty of Interior Design at PWSW in Przemyśl (2013). His graduation sculpture as an honorable mention was exhibited at the Palace of Art on Szczepanski Square in Krakow, and was later purchased by the Westerplatte Museum in Gdansk, where we can still see it as part of the permanent exhibition. He currently lives and works in Krakow and Pcim. His works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad.
